Sukhmani Singh is a passionate changemaker with over a decade of experience in project management, program design, and social impact. As the Manager of Long-Term Impact Programs at Feed Scarborough, he has worn multiple hats—sometimes all at once—leading initiatives that make food more accessible, communities more resilient, and opportunities more inclusive, all while keeping things innovative and sustainable. His work is deeply rooted in the principles of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), ensuring that food security solutions create long-term impact rather than just short-term relief.
From building community gardens to launching Startup Scarborough and FoodHall TO, Sukhmani thrives on turning big ideas into impactful programs. Whether it’s helping food entrepreneurs get their start, designing skill development programs, or creating spaces where people can grow their own food, his work is driven by the belief that food security is about more than just meals—it’s about dignity, equity, and opportunity.
A self-proclaimed data geek, Sukhmani ensures every initiative is backed by impact measurement and continuous evaluation, proving that doing good and doing it well can go hand in hand. He is also a strong advocate for policy change, making sure food security solutions address root causes, not just symptoms.
When he’s not tackling food insecurity, you’ll find Sukhmani enjoying a strong cup of chai, playing badminton on the court, or hosting competitive game nights with friends and family.
His mission? To create a world where food is accessible, communities are empowered, and no one has to choose between a meal and a future.
