Andrea Kuzell - Manager, Emergency Food Programme

With over 10 years of experience in retail management, I have honed my expertise in both client-facing roles and behind-the-scenes stock and warehouse management. My experience has allowed me to develop a well-rounded skill set that includes team leadership, inventory control, customer service, and operational efficiency.

I’m driven by a genuine passion to help others—a value my mom instilled in me from an early age and one I have passed on to my children. This guiding principle led me to Feed Scarborough as a volunteer. Through the years I have grown into my role as a manager where I have the privilege of contributing to a community-focused organization and furthering my commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of others.

I thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy the challenge of balancing multiple tasks while maintaining high standards of service and efficiency. My goal is always to create a welcoming and supportive atmosphere, both for the team I lead and the customers we serve.

Sukhmani Singh is a passionate changemaker with over a decade of experience in project management, program design, and social impact. As the Manager of Long-Term Impact Programs at Feed Scarborough, he has worn multiple hats—sometimes all at once—leading initiatives that make food more accessible, communities more resilient, and opportunities more inclusive, all while keeping things innovative and sustainable. His work is deeply rooted in the principles of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), ensuring that food security solutions create long-term impact rather than just short-term relief.

From building community gardens to launching Startup Scarborough and FoodHall TO, Sukhmani thrives on turning big ideas into impactful programs. Whether it’s helping food entrepreneurs get their start, designing skill development programs, or creating spaces where people can grow their own food, his work is driven by the belief that food security is about more than just meals—it’s about dignity, equity, and opportunity.

A self-proclaimed data geek, Sukhmani ensures every initiative is backed by impact measurement and continuous evaluation, proving that doing good and doing it well can go hand in hand. He is also a strong advocate for policy change, making sure food security solutions address root causes, not just symptoms.

When he’s not tackling food insecurity, you’ll find Sukhmani enjoying a strong cup of chai, playing badminton on the court, or hosting competitive game nights with friends and family.

His mission? To create a world where food is accessible, communities are empowered, and no one has to choose between a meal and a future.

Cesar Luis Aguilar Mata - Coordinator, Emergency Food Programmes

I’ve spent my life in motion, juggling, walking on stilts, performing for crowds. Born in Mexico, my journey took me from street performances to Cirque du Soleil and Canada’s Got Talent. But what I’ve learned along the way is that the real magic isn’t in standing in the spotlight alone, it’s in helping others shine.
When I arrived in Canada, I felt lost. Without a work permit, I couldn’t work, and the days felt long and uncertain. Searching for a way to lift myself up, I found a simple but powerful idea: helping others helps you too. That’s how I found Feed Scarborough. I started volunteering, thinking I was just giving my time, but I was also finding purpose. I saw the strength of the Scarborough community, people from all over the world standing together, supporting one another, proving that when people unite, they become unstoppable.
Then something unexpected happened. I had stopped searching for a job and focused on giving my best, and that’s when opportunity found me. My work as a volunteer led to an offer to officially join the team. Now, as Warehouse & Kitchen Coordinator, I make sure food gets to where it’s needed most. But my job isn’t just about logistics, it’s about people. It’s about making sure no one feels alone in their struggles.
Because I know firsthand that sometimes, when you help others, you end up finding yourself.
